TO INSTALL
In Windows Explorer double-click the downloaded file, dotsetup.exe
Follow on screen instructions to complete the installation.
TO FIND A JOB DESCRIPTION BY SEARCHING
Use the SEARCH feature to find a job that applies to a word, phrase or any combination of letters or numbers.
Once you find the code, you can locate the job description is by clicking on that job title.
If the found job is not the one you want, click on the SEARCH NEXT button.
TO COPY AND PASTE TEXT
[*You can also locate job descriptions by browsing the job category.
For example, let’s say that you searched for and located 801.261-010 assembler, portable oil-well drilling rig (machinery mfg.).
1. Go back to the main page, table of contents and scroll down to the area entitled OCCUPATIONAL DEFINITIONS.
2. Because your desired job starts with "8", click on line "8-Structural Work Occupations"
3. Since your code starts with "80", click on "80 OCCUPATIONS IN METAL FABRICATING, NEC"
4. Similarly, click on "801 FITTING, BOLTING, SCREWING, AND RELATED OCCUPATIONS"
5. Scroll down to 801.261-010.]
You can highlight any text on your screen by clicking/holding down the mouse button and dragging the mouse to the end of the text you want to highlight.
Press <Ctrl><C> to copy the highlighted text to your Windows clipboard.
Go to your word processor or other text application by, say, clicking on its button on the Windows task bar or <Alt><Tab>.
Press <Shift><Insert> or click on EDIT/PASTE to paste the selected text.
