GAIUS JULIUS VICTOR (4th cent. A.D.), Roman writer on rhetoric, possibly of Gallic origin. His extant manual (in C. Halm's Rhetores Latini Minores, 1863) is of some importance as facilitating the textual criticism of Quinrilian, whom he closely follows in many places.
