Berrara beach, South coast, New South Wales

Berrara is located 8 km south of Sussex Inlet at the mouth of Berrara Creek. It offers ocean, beach and rock fishing and there is a boat ramp at the western end of the township.

Berrara is surrounded by a nature reserve. Wildlife is plentiful throughout the park with two resident kangaroo families and an abundance of native birdlife including spectacular rainbow lorikeets, crimson rosellas and superb king parrots.

Just to the north of Berrara is Swan Lake where visitors can enjoy fishing, sailing and, in season, prawning. There are boat ramps at Swan Haven, on the eastern shore of Swan Lake, and at Swan Lake Water Ski Club, on the southern shore. Berrara offers a variety of vacation accommodation, including bed-and-breakfasts, holiday challets, cottages and resort hotels.
