Desert dunes, Nilpena Station, Flinders Ranges
SOURCE: Mike Newling, courtesy of Tourism Australia, the tourism promotion authority of the government of Australia, used with permission.
Nilpena Station is a working cattle station 39km north-west of Parachilna on the edge of Lake Torrens.
The original station buildings, desert landscapes and panoramas of the Flinders Ranges have made Nilpena a favourite location for Outback films and television commercials - as well as for families and groups looking for an authentic Outback experience.
