Cypress Mountain ski area, Vancouver, British Columbia
Cypress mountain, a skiing venue in the North Shore Mountains of British Columbia, is in the southern section of Cypress Provincial Park, only 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, and one of the area's most popular winter recreation areas.
It is not located on the synonymous mountain, but on Mt. Strachan and Black Mountain. Rather, the ski resort name is derived from the name of the bowl between these two mountains, "Cypress Bowl".
Cypress Mountain is the official Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard Venue for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
