Upernavik harbor in the evening.

The island of Upernavik, on which the homonymous town is located, is one of many islands in the vast Upernavik archipelago off the coast of northeastern Baffin Bay.

The archipelago belongs to the earliest-settled areas of Greenland, the first migrants arriving approximately 2.000 years B.C.
