Bunratty Castle, Bunratty, County Clare, Munster Bunratty Castle is a large tower house in the centre of Bunratty village, near Shannon Town and its airport. From the top of the tower one can see Ratty river, which runs alongside the castle, and Shannon airport. There is an extensive folk park near the castle, with reconstructions of historical cottages and buildings, recreating the general feel of the 19th century, with a period style village main street.
