Oko-no-taki falls, Kagoshima prefecture Located at the terminus of river Oko at the west part of Mount Nagata, on Yakushima island, the Oko no taki waterfall has a drop of 88 meters down a rocky slope. The rainy climate of Yakushima island produces a huge amount of precipitation inside the mountain area. Enormous amounts of rain water gathered by several rivers, run through the deep V shaped valley, producing several spectacular waterfalls.
