Interior of Theatercafeen, Oslo

Theatercafeen is a distinctive restaurant located on its ground floor of Hotel Continental, which was opened in 1900.

The restaurant was so named, because it is located accross the street from the national theater.

It was the venue of meetings between Lauritz Sand, the famous World War II resistance figure, and Abwehr agent Laura Johannesen who betrayed him to the Gestapo, and also where the great Norwegian pianist Robert Levin played in the orchestra early in his career.
