Waterfalls, Jotunheimen, Oppland

Jotunheimen (�Home of the Giants�) contains the Jotunheimen National Park, recognized as one of the country's premier hiking and fishing regions.

The National Park covers most of the mountainous region of Jotunheimen, including Hurrungane, but Utladalen and its surroundings are within Utladalen Landscape Protection Area.

The Jotunheimen has many glaciers, U-shaped valleys excavated by them and deposits which they leave when they advance and retreat in pace with changes in climate. The national park also has a high diversity of plant and animal life, including large predators and birds of prey.
