Lambert's Bay, 290 kilometers from Cape Town on the West Coast of Western Cape province, has evolved from a fishing village into a popular holiday resort.

Bird Island, the nesting and breeding ground of thousands of Gannets, penguins and other bird species, can be reached from Lamberts Bay by walking on a breakwater wall.

The harbour and Bird Island attract thousands of tourists every year.
