Worcester Dam, Audenberg mountains, Western Cape province Worcester, located 120 kilometers north-east of Cape Town is the largest town in the Western Cape's interior region, which is an agricultural area, with livestock, orchards and vineyards. Central to this agricultural production, is the Greater Brandvlei Dam, with a capacity of 342 million cubic litres, which provides water to various irrigation schemes in the valley. The dam was completed in 1936 and fully extended by 1987.
