Love River, Kaohsiung, Taiwan photo
Love River, Kaohsiung

Love River, which flows through Kaohsiung city, was known as Ta Kou (Da Gou) River during the Ching (Qing) Dynasty, and was renamed Takao River by Japanese.

The government has beautified the riverbanks with parks and green areas. In order to celebrate his dear Madam Chiang's birthday, the late president Chiang Kai-Shek named it Jen Ai (Ren Ai) River, however, local people still call it Love River.

The Love River Sightseeing Boat offers romantic rides along the river.
