Love River, Kaohsiung, Taiwan photo
Aerial view of Love River, Kaohsiung

Love River (or "Ai River" in Chinese) also referred to as a canal, originates in Renwu Township, Kaohsiung County, and flows 12 kilometers through the city of Kaohsiung to Kaohsiung Harbor.

Love River plays an important role in the economy and tourism of Kaohsiung, and it is of great cultural significance to its people.

Love River Park runs along the riverbank in the city's central business district. The Lantern Festival and other events, such as concerts, are often held by the river.
