Subway station, Taipei

The Taipei subway, also known as the MRT (Metropolitan Rapid Transit) or Taipei Metro, serves a large part of the Taipei metropolitan area, with 76.6 kilometers of rail and 68 stations.

It is a popular mode of public transportation in metropolitan Taipei, with over 1.2 million trips made during an average weekday.

MRT has free mobile phone connection in all stations, trains and tunnels and also WiFi connections at several station hotspots.
