Tsaoling historic trail Tsaoling (Caoling) Trail, part of the Danlan Trail, which was built in Ching Dynasty as the earliest route connecting the west coast of Taiwan with the east coast, was built in 1807. Having been worn down from lack of maintenance, part of it was rebuilt, a 10 kilometer section, which is a beautiful and educational track, with natural beauty and several bridges, pavilions and temples alongside of it. It takes three to four hours to traverse the entire trail. SOURCE: Courtesy of Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation & Communications , R.O.C.
